Let’s hope “Chase” brings her whole disordered self to court this week.

If you were writing a dystopian sci-fi novel about a child sterilization cult your editor would scold you for choosing a name like “Chase Strangio” for a baddie attorney defending the cult. It’s too on the nose, too obvious, she’d say. Back off & respect your readers to figure it out for themselves, she’d warn you.

Your editor would also say that mustache is too much, lol

Twirling it in her teeny girlish fingers as she ties more sex non-conforming kids to the railroad tracks of “gender medicine.” 🚂

I just want alias "Chase Strangio" to bring her whole "fuck you can't you see I'm queer" hairdo to court. The troglodyte justices whose support we sex realists need will see red.

"They will sort out the truth when they realize that gender doctors are seedy; that parents are asking their 9-year old daughters whether they’d like to avoid menstruating; that esteemed leaders like Merrick Garland are not exercising independent judgment."

Nails it.

The emperor is naked, having fully undressed at some point 10-15 years ago. The last sock probably came off in 2022 with the release of the WPATH 2022 SoC 8.

When we look back at previous medical scandals, the most recent being Purdue's oxycodone promo campaign, it seemed to take the medical community, the general public, and policy makers about 15 years to climb out from under the bonds of ideological/commercial capture by a single entity. Identifying and isolating the "woke mind virus" of gender identity is more of a multi-player shell-game. Exposure of what's crawling under the rocks will happen even more slowly. But every bold piece of writing, like this one, is necessary, to make sure we reach that critical point sooner, and that we maximize the number of adults in the room willing to state the emperor has not just been stripped named but also flayed, alongside his children.

Right on the nose. Psychiatry has been collapsing for quite some time as “psychiatric” problem after problem turns out to be neurological or biochemical in nature. It’s the one branch of medicine which is entirely based on Victorian consensus guesswork, instead of replicable clinical research known as science based in material reality.

Unfortunately medicine itself is rife with surprises based on guesswork that collapse with research, and the only regulation possible seems to be via law which will always be resisted to the death.

Do read a fascinating article on sterilizing women in the NYT as a sort of medical hygiene. I’m hard to shock but there you are. Sterilizing children routinely is the tip of the iceberg.

Intelligent and informative, as are all your posts. Thanks for this case primer.

I am struck by how neatly these kids fit the profile of those most likely to get sucked into gender ideology: comorbidities (notably autism), nascent likely lesbianism, social contagion and so forth, aligned with feckless parents who have abdicated their roles as sensible protectors. In "protecting" their children from the difficulties of puberty and growing up -- especially hard on girls and more so on gay girls (I somehow survived this as a young lesbian in the 70s)-- they endanger their wellbeing for the rest of their lives.

I hope the Supremes rule for Tennessee in a manner that makes eradicating the cult of gender ideology easier going forward.

It’s like a perverse extension of the permissive parenting - the kids in charge. Parents refuse to do the hard work of being the adults.

This "gender identity" delusion has a number of origins; it does not stem from only one set of circumstances. As part of the effort to expose the "gender identity" truth we need to be willing to clinically describe this disorder through its various etiologies -- a stew of compulsive sexual fetishism, internalized homophobia, autistic confusion, and predatory misogyny. We need to start studying it as a cognitive and behavioral disorder, as it once was understood and studied.

late stage cultural crazes have a tendency to hoover up all kinds of people looking for a solution to their distress. It could only reach this level because of how we live part way between our screen life and IRL lives. I dare say those TRA activists are extremely online.

Porn is the unspoken miasma hanging over all of it.

And bio-phobia - an irrational fear of nature, including of one's own biological sex. Quite likely brought on by an extreme patriarchal belief that sex-role stereotypes are "natural," to the point that if these men don’t perfectly fit all the stereotypes for their sex, they must somehow, magically be the opposite sex, rather than that the stereotypes are the problem, not their bodies.

And all this alienation from nature and their bodies aided by spending too much time online, as you noted. Too much living in their heads, from the neck, up, while staring at glowing screens shaping their delusions.

You have exceeded your already high bar of trenchant analysis with this one, and the punchline is a hilarious tour de force: “Unless Chase Strangio brings her full self work that day.”

I think sterilization decisions generally should be entirely removed from medicine, since doctors in case after case after case have proven to be fanatical drivers of medical atrocity.

Most kids who are gender nonconforming or who have gender dysphoria get over it during adolescence and grow up to be gay men or lesbians. Multiple studies have shown this to be the case. Before the gender affirming model swept in and put children on the path to almost certain medical transition, medical and mental health professionals would practice watchful waiting. That is one of the avenues by which we know such young people will desist and come to realize they are same-sex attracted.

The sick irony is that many of the trans allies who gush over "trans kids" probably also champion the "LGBTQ+ community." Well, they can't have it both ways. They cannot possibly support our public schools in indoctrinating very young children into gender identity ideology while simultaneously creating safe spaces for youth to mature and discover they're attracted to people of the same sex. By definition, no place where children are being told they might be a different sex or gender is a safe space for a sissy or tomboy. That's because if the sissy or tomboy does not succumb to the trans indoctrination on their own, their peers or the gender affirming adults in their lives will plant the idea that they were born in the wrong body or with the wrong brain. Welcome to gay conversion therapy, Queer Theory style.

Now, the idea that it is unfair to allow biological males who "identify as female" to compete against females in female-only sports is beginning to catch on among parents of girls and some members of the general public. This is putting some defenders of trans female athletes on the defensive and catching the attention of pundits. What is it going to take for the public to realize that the "trans kids" they spend so much time and energy worrying about are probably the gay men and lesbians of the future?

It's essential to counter trans allies' scaremongering about the fate of those poor "trans kids" with some honest-to-God truth, which is that right now all across the nation an untold number of children are having their gay sexual orientation suppressed and replaced by fake trans identities. Don't they deserve protection too?

LoL. Aren't you "mis-gendering" poor ol' Chase? 😉🙂

But ICYMI, it seems Chase has folded her tent on Twitter -- to use Musk's "deadname", so to speak -- and slithered off into the sunset:

https://speakingplainly.substack.com/p/is-it-really-true-that-no-ones-denying

But thanks for the overview, for separating some of the wheat from the chaff. Though it seems that both the ACLU's case, and the WDI's amicus brief are some whale-sized red herrings. The only issue seems to be whether Tennessee has the right to ban quack medicine -- which "gender affirming care" manifestly qualifies as.

For example, the ACLU "boldly" -- if not foolhardily -- insists that:

"Tennessee is home to over 3,000 transgender adolescents and the health care banned by this law is supported by the entire mainstream of the medical community."

https://www.aclu.org/cases/l-w-v-skrmetti

Which is, of course, a flat-out flaming lie -- hard to imagine a bigger "Big Lie" than the demented claim that people can change sex:

Somewhat amused by the record label -- Elektra -- which may have some ironic though darker connotations.

And through their strange hours

We linger alone

Bodies confused

Memories misused

As we run from the day

To a strange night of stone."
